Why the clinic runs on WhatsApp
Because it is the app patients already have. A booking system that requires an install, an account and a password excludes the people this clinic exists to serve. One message to +92 308 0429292 books an appointment, and the same thread carries the queue notification, the prescription and the lab report.
We chose it deliberately, with the trade-off understood. This page sets that trade-off out so you can make the same choice knowingly.
What is protected
- Message contents are encrypted end to end. Meta cannot read what you write to us, and neither can anyone intercepting the connection.
- That protection covers text, photographs of prescriptions, and documents, in both directions.
- The clinic's number is a single, published line — +92 308 0429292 — so you can verify who you are talking to. We never message you from a different number to ask for money or credentials.
What is not protected
Encryption protects the words, not the fact of the conversation
Meta can see that your number messaged a medical clinic, when, and how often. For a clinic, that pattern is itself health information — and it is outside the encryption.
- Metadata — who messaged whom, when, from what device and where — is visible to Meta and is not covered by end-to-end encryption.
- A copy of the conversation sits unencrypted on your phone and on the clinic's phone once it has been decrypted for reading. Anyone who can unlock either device can read it.
- Phone backups are the common failure. A WhatsApp backup to iCloud or Google Drive without end-to-end encryption enabled puts the whole conversation into that cloud account.
- Meta does not offer a data-processing agreement covering clinical use of consumer WhatsApp, so there is no contractual guarantee from Meta about how it handles this relationship.
- WhatsApp is a US company's service. Data crosses borders, and PMDC's code requires informed consent before patient information moves to another jurisdiction — which is what this page is asking you for.
Making it safer, in two minutes
- Turn on end-to-end encrypted backups: WhatsApp → Settings → Chats → Chat backup → End-to-end encrypted backup.
- Lock your phone with a PIN, pattern or biometric, and turn off message previews on the lock screen.
- Turn on two-step verification: WhatsApp → Settings → Account → Two-step verification. It stops someone re-registering your number.
- Set disappearing messages on the clinic thread if you would rather results did not sit on your phone.
- Delete photographs of prescriptions and reports from your gallery once you no longer need them.
What we do on our side
- The clinic's WhatsApp runs on a device that is locked, kept at the clinic, and used by named staff only.
- Staff are instructed never to forward a patient conversation, screenshot it into another group, or discuss it in a group chat.
- We ask for the minimum in the thread: enough to book you and to return your result, never a full history.
- The prefilled messages this website composes contain only what you chose to include — a doctor, a preferred time, a reason if you typed one. Nothing is added invisibly.
- We do not use your number for marketing. The newsletter is email only, and it is a separate, explicit opt-in.
The automated assistant
Your first reply usually comes from an automated assistant, which identifies itself. It books, reschedules and answers routine questions, and it does not diagnose, prescribe or triage. Ask for a human at any point. The full notice is at /legal/ai.
Using the clinic without WhatsApp
This is a real option, not a formality. Nothing about your care, your priority in the queue or your fee changes if you decline.

Never for emergencies
The WhatsApp line is not monitored continuously
A message may not be read for hours. In an emergency call 1122 or go to the nearest emergency department.
