What it's used for
- Dehydration from diarrhoea or vomiting
- Fluid loss in hot weather
- Rehydration after fever
- Post-exercise electrolyte replacement
Dosage & directions
Dissolve one sachet in 200ml of clean drinking water. Sip frequently after every loose stool. Discard any unused solution after 24 hours.
Composition
Each sachet provides Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Citrate and Anhydrous Glucose per WHO low-osmolarity formula.
Possible side effects
Mild nausea if drunk too quickly
Warnings & precautions
- Mix only with water — never milk, juice or a fizzy drink.
- Take a child to a doctor if there is no urine for 8 hours, or if they become drowsy.
- Do not add sugar or salt to the prepared solution.
Storage
Store sachets below 30°C in a dry place.
